About Us
Macy Ledbetter
As a professional wildlife biologist, avid outdoorsman, naturalist, ranch manager and fifth generation landowner, Macy completely understands land and wildlife management and pride of ownership. He practices what he preaches and can relate to any ranch management scenario with more than seventeen years of professional experience.
After earning a Wildlife Ecology degree from Texas A&M University in 1992, Macy worked for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in South Texas for ten years. Demand from landowners in other regions led Macy to begin his own private consulting business, Spring Creek Outdoors, LLC, and, more recently, co-founded the nation-wide deer management website, www.WhitetailDomains.com.
Macy lives on his historic family ranch in northern San Saba County with his wife Cathy and son Wade and a wide array of pets. His daughter Shelby is attending college in Stephenville. When Macy is not showing ranches, he is likely in a helicopter counting or catching deer, taking photographs of wildlife or writing articles about herd and habitat management.
Cathy Ledbetter
Cathy, besides being Mrs. Macy, is the business manager and "concierge" of Spring Creek Outdoors, LLC. Given Macy's busy schedule, she is usually available to answer the office telephone and either assist you or relay your information to Macy.
Cathy is a graduate of The University of Tennessee and Texas Tech University. Her professional life has included a number of job titles including professor, librarian, computer and network specialist, graphic designer and web developer, author, teacher, photographer, and caterer. She has concluded that not everyone should decide what they want to be when they grow up.
Cathy's favorite job titles have been mother, wife, pet lover, and traveler. She has one daughter off at college and homeschools her son. She loves living on the ranch with her family and the various pets, domestic and wild. Fiber crafts such as sewing, quilting, and knitting occupy what little free time she has. |
